¹³ saying, Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while you slept. ¹⁴ And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and keep you out of trouble.

¹⁵ And the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is circulated among the Jews to this day.
